“My daughter was struggling for 2 years to love school until Indigo!!!  She loves life, exploring and learning.  She is smart, artful, kind, playful, fun and social but she just hated going to school.   When we pulled her out of school to homeschool, she finally relaxed and started enjoying her own process in learning.  But it wasn’t until she went to Indigo that the light for education shined in her eyes again.  She is excited to go to school every day even the days we homeschool.  It is a mixture of Montessori ingenuity and child-paced learning combined with Miss Melanie’s wonderful Earth based, play based approach that ignited a fire for learning in Aleia.  Indigo’s outside edible play garden is amazing for a forest school kind of approach to learning where ingenuity is developed by learning to imagine, create and play with whatever nature provides.  Thank you Indigo for giving my daughter’s heart and mind imaginative wings to fly!!!!!  –Carolyn N.

“We have been taking Elyssa to indigo circle since since Pre-K. We are all in love with the peaceful atmosphere. They are focused on the children developing a love for learning. It is a second home to my daughter. Not only are they feeding the children’s minds with educational material they are also nourishing there souls. Showing them how to love the Earth and treat others with love and respect. They care for the children by feeding them the most nourishing and nutritional meals. My daughter has started eating things she would have never tried with me. There is so much I could say about her growth since coming here. It’s the best decision we have ever made for her. We love you Indigo Circle!”  –Kailey W.

“Our girls (ages 7 & 9) have been attending Suncoast Montessori Academy since Sept 2019 and we could not be happier with this school. Ms. Melanie has truly created a child centered school and both girls have a unique learning program that is 100% individualized. From the moment we first walked into the peaceful classroom setting and found children working quietly and independently we knew we were in the right place. Our girls are happy to go everyday and love all of the hands-on exploring they get to do as a part of their school day. In addition, Ms Melanie and her team went above and beyond creating an actual, authentic Montessori online learning program during COVID-19. Our girls were able to continue working on their individualized plans at home, with ease. They were able to really show us just how much independent thinking is a crucial part of their learning. We firmly believe Suncoast Montessori Academy is a hidden gem in our community!!”  –Jennifer S.

“We originally enrolled our daughter for summer camp last year and never left! There are so many positives about this school that we fell in love with but most of all we noticed a behavioral difference in our child right away. The school hours are working-parent-friendly, we don’t have to stress about packing a lunch every day and we LOVE that she is offered the same food choices as her peers which encourages her to try things out of her comfort zone. The teachers are amazing and check in with us frequently about her academic progress and emotional happiness. We love the Montessori structure and that she gets plenty of outside time to play and be in the edible garden which is SO important. They’re constantly making improvements and genuinely care about the children, there is a great family feeling about this school and we feel very comfortable and happy that we’re apart of it.”  –Kori R.

“My daughter LOVED Indigo! She was there for 1.5 years in the Montessori program and did two summer sessions there as well. And she would still be there if we had not decided to transition into homeschooling.

I watched her blossom when she moved from a much larger, more demanding montessori environment, to Indigo… where the more intimate, relaxed classroom environment allowed her to unfold at her own pace. This actually enabled her to advance faster, because she was not being “pushed” to perform. Children are naturally inquisitive learners when they are given the freedom to be.

We would recommend Indigo to anyone looking for a learning environment that is truly centered on the individual child’s needs and passions.”  –Melody I.

“My husband and I are so thrilled having our two children (3 and 5 years old) learning and growing at Indigo Circle with Melanie and her team of educators. Being new to Sarasota and new to Montessori, it meant the world to us to find a child-centered program that embraces intrinsic curiosity and nourishes social-emotional development. Both of my children have matured notably in confidence, independence, kindness and smarts in two short months! As parents, there is no better feeling than knowing your children are ENJOYING school and GROWING so much! We are so full of gratitude for our new village.”  –Katie B.

“I took my daughter out of public school and it was the best decision I have ever made. My daughter has learned so much in such a short time at Indigo Circle.  I absolutely love this school. Before starting the school I could not get my child to eat anything but chicken and french fries but because of the family style lunches and learning about fruits and vegetables she is eating all the colors of the rainbow and that is HUGE for us. ( She has pdd-nos). She is reading age appropriate books, learning math, participating in show and tell, learned how to tie her shoes basically overnight, she has learned how to write in cursive the list goes on. This is a blessing for our family.”  –Erica L.

“From the moment I walked into Indigo, I could see why the kids and parents enjoy it so much.  As an educator, I loved seeing such a free-flowing, creative, inviting and engaging environment for students to learn!  Melanie is so patient, kind and approachable with the children and parents.  The kids love her!  My favorite part of Indigo is the Edible Garden!  Not only do the kids learn so much from having this right outside for them to explore and observe, they are also learning about the importance of feeding their bodies with healthy foods that they help grow.  This is a well rounded, positive school that fosters independent, curious learners.”  –Meliza L.

“Yes, I would recommend Indigo Circle.  Our child has attended the school for 6 months, we are more than pleased with her progress.

We are big fans of the Montessori method of education.    The freestyle learning while at play, hands on approach has benefited our child immensely.

Ms Melanie’s commitment to the environment, teaching our kids how to “keep it green” both at school and at home is an added bonus.”     –Brian H.
